Where the Wild Things Are
The front appears to be the classic children's story "Where the
Wild Things Are" by the late Maurice Sendak. It features Max, after having been proclaimed King, hanging out with the "monsters" and sailing into the land. The front is wonderfully and vividly colored, and a truly unique piece. The title
and author are in glossy black.
The spine has again the title and author, and a little silver palm tree that I thought added the right bit of whimsical nostalgia.
The back is particularly cool- it features Max,
when playing in his "monster" costume, through imagination turning his bedroom slowly into the other world. Again, its vividly painted and surrounded in iridescent white. Very stylish. The whole thing is sprayed with a glossy, protective finish.
This is an absolutely wonderful piece for any fan of
literature, children's stories or Sendak. Would make a great gift for yourself or for someone else!
Size - Whole box, outside:
Width: 6.5 inches
Length: 8.45 inches
Height: 1.5 inches
